Representatives of leading anti-doping organizations, especially WADA, AIU, USADA, DBS WG, NADA Germany, NADA Austria, A-D Denmark, HUNADO, SLOADO, EHF, IRL, presented during the workshop very interesting topics of their anti-doping practice.
The Austrian Doping Control Laboratory
The Austrian Doping Control Laboratory (DCL) is accredited by the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA). DCL is a part of the business unit Chemical Analytics and as a part of a research center – the Seibersdorf Laboratories.
During the years 1999 – 2001 was established in Seibersdorf a laboratory for analysis of doping control samples as a common initiative of the Seibersdorf Laboratories, the Austrian Anti-Doping Committee, the Austrian Olympic Committee and the Ministry for Public Affairs and Sports.
After a successful testing phase accreditation was obtained in 2002.
After a period of 20 years, i.e. from 2002 to 2022, DCL has a current total of 112 anti-doping organizations as important clients, of which 44 are National Anti-Doping Organizations and 68 are International Sports Federations.
DCL in 2021 analysed a total of 22 465 samples, of which 0.54% had an adverse analytical finding.
